Ducted gas heating service FAQs
We dismantle and clean the burner box, check the unit for corrosion, lubricate the fan and bearings where needed, and pressure test for gas leaks. We adjust the gas pressure, inspect the glass and rope seals on log units, check the air flow and all electrical connections, adjust the controls, then test and report on the unit's condition and any repairs.
A gas heater burns fuel, so regular servicing matters for safety and efficiency. Our technician checks for gas leaks and makes sure the unit is running correctly before the cold weather sets in.
Gas heating is busiest in winter, so booking times are usually around 2 to 3 weeks. Booking in autumn, before the cold snap, means less waiting.
If the unit is not working we attend on a diagnosis call-out of $200, which includes the first 15 minutes on site, then $60 per 15 minutes (or part thereof) after that. Any repair is quoted separately and only carried out once you approve it. Tell us the make and model when you book, as there are a few older heater brands we are unable to work on.
Yes. We provide a 3-month labour warranty on service repairs and a 3-month warranty on replacement electrical parts. Warranty covers defective parts, not damage from other causes.
